Cherokee Gun Club
A 58-year private shooting club in Cherokee County, GA. Concept rebuild and members area preview.
A 58-year-old private club running an outdated CMS site that didn't reflect their institutional weight. We rebuilt as a polished concept with proper history presentation, a 14-discipline information architecture, and a members area scoped for future development.
The problem
An established 700-member private club operating on a barely-maintained site. The homepage title was just three letters. The membership page took over eight seconds to load. The 58-year history was buried in a wall of plain text. The site felt unmaintained.
Our approach
Rebuilt as a polished concept with proper institutional presentation. New information architecture reduces 24 flat navigation items to a 6-section structure grouped by audience and function. History reframed as a 10-stop timeline with the actual milestones. Range map page with annotated legend. Members area preview showing range status, work-hour tracking, and registration scaffolding. Institutional-heritage aesthetic with deep forest greens, warm cream, and brass accents.
Outcome
Concept site live as a leave-behind for board-level outreach. Engagement scoped in four phases from quick wins through brand refresh.
